This past weekend, my wife and I had some good friends over for dinner and shared a few special bottles, including a very nice Heitz Martha's Vineyard and a delicious 1997 Viader.
At this time of the year, perhaps more than at others, I am reminded to be truly thankful for my wonderful family and friends. It's the perfect time to introduce your loved ones to some of the amazing wines coming from this great country.
I hope you all have the opportunity this holiday season to take some time off, roast a few chestnuts, and open one of those special bottles you've been saving for the 'right' occasion.
