Hope you had a great holiday and New Year. We celebrated with friends up in St. Helena and had a great time. Over the holidays I tasted with friends at Twomey, Seven Stones and T-Vine. Twomey is the sister winery of Silver Oak and was started to create other varietals than Cabernet Sauvignon. Ana, the tasting room manager, tasted us through their Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc wines. T-Vine is known for their Zinfandels but also makes great Grenache, Petite Sirah, Charbono and Syrah wines. Seven Stones is a beautiful winery/home and our host, Michael McMillan took us on a tour of the grounds before tasting the 2011. The wine was great and the grounds offered amazing views and a huge outdoor art collection. My daughter Mia had a great time too. And now, onto the wines...
